Wanzie’s CHRISTMAS EVE 1970’S RADIO HOUR

It’s Christmas Eve, 1976, in Orlando, Florida. The charter members of The Orange Blossom Little Theater Musical Troupe and Amateur Dramatic Society Players are gathering on the great stage of an area bingo hall to present a holiday-themed cabaret fundraiser being broadcast live over a local AM radio station. You are invited to join the select few who will comprise the in-studio audience. You’ll have an insider’s view of all the behind the scenes mechanics and machinations as our intrepid troupe of performers endeavors to overcome technical issues and personality clashes as they proudly present their annual Christmas Eve Radio Hour broadcast.

The show features six wonderfully talented vocalists singing Christmas classics from the 1920’s though 1976, as well as some snippets of top 40 hits of the day and a few zany re-imagined songs as well. Along the way you’ll be treated to a trip down memory lane through the live-reads of commercials highlighting the many sponsors of the broadcast - rooted in Orlando, circa 1970’s. Enjoy a comedic musical celebration of the fun and frivolity of the holiday season with no politics or current issues anywhere to be found. This is exactly the escapism that tops your Christmas wish list; and make your reservations now to leave the outside world behind and lose yourself in the holiday magic and nostalgia of Wanzie’s CHRISTMAS EVE 1970’S RADIO HOUR.
